I had exactly the same problem with a couple of my games... You might want to try and erase your gamesaves that are related to those games.... See if that works.....

nope.....not resolved it.

ive looked into flashing the bios. Ive got the switches on the flont as follows.......

1 and 2 and on and 3 4 5 are off...

Im running the evolution X desktop. when i originally went into the bios directory there was nothing there. When i go into the settings options i see the following for the bios

BIOS Version : Unknown
Kernal Version: 1.00.5022.01
XBOX Hardware info: 00000002 D3 D5

Ive put the latest bios version into the c:\bios directory on the xbox. when i goto flash this with the onboard util i get the following.

Manafacturers ID 09 Device ID 00
!! Unknown Flash Type!!

Bad DVD drive, please help!

I received a RROD death xbox and was told I could sell it if I fixed it. I fixed the RROD in about 15mins and thought I was good to go. When I got the xbox I just tested for RROD, and nothing else. After I fixed the RROD, I popped in Gears of War 2 to test it out, I got the white screen saying that this disc can only be played in an xbox 360 console. I kinda laughed at this because the game was in an xbox lol. so heres my question, should I replace the drive (its a Toshiba Samsung model number ts-h943) or do you guys thing a new laser reader would do the trick? thanks in advance because I really want to move this xbox onto ebay!

Re: Bad DVD drive, please help!

Try cleaning the laser

Or it could be an invalid drive key.
