Hey new to the 360 modding scene. never got into it things in my life didnt have time and didnt seem worth it until recently anyways i was into the xbox modding. started with a 2.3+ and moved up to the x3 did atleast 20 installs with all types of chips x3, aladdin, xbit but mostly duoX so i have no problem installing my own stuff but i been having problems figuring out what i need, there isnt nearly as much info atleast i dont think it was as easy for me to figure out for the xbox as the 360. I have spent the last 3 days 3 to 4 hours a day trying to figure out everything.
I have a falcon i need to look up the cb or dash version but have not used this since 2011.
does xbins still exist?
I was thinking about getting the rjtag but read it is discontinued and see the coolrunner 4 is coming out soon. I read that jtag is better than rgh. Will the cr4 be the better option then rjtag? Also why should or shouldnt i get the demon? I dont plan on getting on live but wouldnt mind being about to so i can download stuff. what is cr_en? only thing i could find was a video mentioned it something with the demon and cr communicating.
so there are 3 rgh? rgh 1 & 2 require different wiring. is jtag and the demon related? is the bios stored on the nand? is it like the orginal xbox where the hacked bios is illegal or no?
what im really having trouble with is all the products. So it seems that once a new solution was found xecuter immediately released a chip? Cuz it seems like alot of the products are the same I dont know what to choose. I see alot of them are only for the slim and not fat so doesnt concern me like the dgx, proto, cr pro. It seems like i should get the j r programmer and cr4 and maybe the demon do i need the r jtag
I just got it sent to me from parents tried to play a game and it doesnt read any disc. Was thinking about opening the dvd drive to see if i just need to clean the laser if this doesnt solve the problem then should i get a replacement? and it not like the xbox were i could just swap it correct? I need to get a dvd key from the orginal and copy it to the new one? Also if i do jtag or rgh then no need to mod the dvd drive correct?
I have a few more questions(having trouble articulating) and will try to find answer before asking?
