Hi All
Did my first 4gb nand qsb install the other day with wires instead of direct to the the MOB i used j-runner detected the qsb but didnt relise i had to select the drive letter in j-runner so i thought it was bad wiring for the read so i then desoldered the wires on the qsb and then soldered the qsb Board on the MOB as it was meant for but messed up the JOB i Hate QSB Boards:mad2:
so desoldered the qsb from the MOB and tryed to turn on the xbox and nothing just Bleeps:facepalm:

so have read up it could be the traces on the board if any one could help it would be grate cheers

Have you wrote or erased your nand? (attempted to?)

Also clean up all that lint off your board and post a photo of all the areas you have soldered to.

most likley you have damaged one of the pads where sd card solders to.sometimes the breaks/tears can not be seen by naked eye, take a multimeter and check for continuance from each trace from southbridge back to nand.

your not looking for voltage or ohms but continuance, search here on this site for xmods 4gb rebuild

Convert it to 16MB. Fixed. This is a common problem mentioned in many threads, actually. You simply have to be good at soldering with a general knowledge of how NANDs work.

I had one that done that and I had to write the original nand back (full dump) to the console 3-4 times before it started working again.

sorry martin did'nt realise it was a "no no" plus sending it off to someone to repair wouldnt be worth the time and money as it is just cheaper to buy a new one that's why i started the thread
but thanks for everyone's help
