Hi,
All right, I'll start off by saying that I've tried searching for these problems but couldn't find anything specific enough to help me out. Okay, so here's my specs:

Xecuter 3 installed with pin header
Bios 1959

Now,
problem A) I'm trying to set up an FTP with my Xbox but they aren't cooperating. I'm using SmartFTP and have it connected straight to my PC with a crossover cable. Every time I try connecting it shows LAN activity on the Xecuter 3 controller but then it just says Connection Timed Out. I thought this would be pretty simple to do, but guess I was wrong. :p

Just noticed on the bottom left corner of the X3 dashboard, it says 0.0.0. Err X? What does that mean?

BTW, I'm trying to set up an FTP to install a dashboard. I'm thinking of Avalaunch.

Finally
problem B) SOLVED, had a jumper to set it to slave that I forgot to remove I want to upgrade the hard drive. Have a 120 gig Western Digital here just waiting to be filled up. Each time I connect it to the xbox though, it will freeze right at the beggining where it would normally be the Xbox logo and the tiny X3 Rox My Box (However, when I try using the new hard drive, the X3 Rox my Box never shows up so it freezes just before that). There'll be some loud noises coming from the Hard drive till the xbox just Frags. Then I just take it off, switch to the old HD and it works perfect.

I've tested the hard drive on my PC and it works fine. What gives? o_0
It's giving me Error 7.

Thanks in advance for the help!!

Flash Xbox 360 With Mac Pro with XP Bootcamp

I have successfully flashed a Hitachi 79FL drive with a mac pro using bootcamp. I used a connectivity kit in this instance but you can power the drive with your xbox if you like.

Materials:
Mac Pro
Male to female sata cable
Xbox 360 connectivity kit (optional)
Jungle Flasher 1.70
Bootcamp with XP SP3
Microsoft .net Framework 3.0 (needed for jungle flasher)

First I took one of my drives out the Mac Pro drive bay 2 (I've heard this is the drive bay that works the best) and connected a male to female sata cable to it and then plugged the other end into the hitachi drive. I then Plugged the connectivity kit into the drive.

I was unable to get to the startup screen where you choose which operating system to boot when the drive was powered on so don't leave the drive powered on before choosing windows.

Once windows starts booting up you can then turn the drive on.

When windows is booted up open up Jungle Flasher and go to the hitachi tab and click the send mode b button. This should set your drive in mode b, but to make sure press eject on the connectivity kit (it should take 2 presses to get it to open). Make sure windows is able to see it, you should hear the ding sound it makes when new hardware is recognized. Then put the 79 Unlock music disc into the tray of the hitachi and click close tray in Jungle flasher (you don't need the 79 unlock cd if you have any of the other hitachi drives).

Play the 79 Unlock cd and your drive should now be able to be dumped in Jungle Flasher. Eject the 79 Unlock cd before you dump the drive and make sure the tray is closed.

Now you can dump the drive.

Once it is dumped load your ixtreme firmware in the target firmware box. Then go back to the hitachi tab and flash your drive with ixtreme. You should get a notice that your drive was flashed successfully!

And there you go! A flashed Hitachi drive with your mac pro. This can also be done with a macbook pro using a esata to sata cable with the JMB360 expresscard 34. It is a JMicron chipset.

I will be adding more tutorials for drives as I flash them so stay tuned!
