help please, Jtag falcon, was working now wont turn on

HI,

wonder if someboby could shed some light please?

I have a jtagged falcon, I done it a couple of months ago, has been working fine, went to turn it on today and PSU goes red, and obviously it wont turn on. I have tried several PSUs, all with same effect.

any ideas or suggestplease?

Did you move your console recently? Because by the looks of it, it seems like there has been a short in the wiring.

i did notice that my 12v supply from bottm of board had come loose, so I removed it! and still dont work

it was covered by tape as well though, so could not have shorted

The most common reason of Red light on the PSU is a short on the motherboard. Have another look at the motherboard and check all the wires there are in there for a short. You may also want to try to turn on the Xbox360 without the DVD drive connected.

yes done that, had a very close look at everything, nothing obvious........could this be casued by nand getting corrupt? red light as soon as psu is connected.

Never seen a red psu light from a corrupted nand before.
Give the board a good going over with a brush and double check. Unplug everything from the motherboard, the fans, the hdd even the RF board. and see if its still a red light on the psu.

sorted it! I forgot that I de-soldered a cable earlier, and on checking around that area I found a small blob of solder on one on the small resisters causing it it to short.
