Help Please! No Video! Only Audio!

IV finally flashed my bios, with the 3108. and i still have a black screen. now it doesnt, shut on and off when i power it up through the chip. but regardless whether the chip is on or off, its still no video, i get audio when i boot the MS, but no VIDEO, and when i boot the chip, the LCD turns on, but its blank. what now?

Do you have a 1.6 or a 1.0 - 1.5? Did you flash the right bios?

did you enable VGA settings for some reason? if so, or if it got enabled somehow, there's your video problem.

if it is your vga settings try booting up and once your sure you in x3cl press A. then press up twice and press A. then press left once and press A. give it a sec and it should restart. that at least fixed mine.....

hey im having some problems too.. im getting black screen now.. chip was working prefect then soemthign froze and now its black screen.. i knwo i enabled the vga mode a few mintues before that.. but now when i boot up i have no video and it doesnt load the x3cl i can hear the default ms dash stuff, why aint i getting the x3cl stuff... i still have allt he settings from the control live becasue my power leds are set to random which they are still doing... so confused

If you did enable VGA but dont have a supported cable, then just do what neogoten said. If not, reset the X3 EEPROM by holding down A X Y and B during boot until the XBOX reboots, make sure the X3 logo on the switch panel is blue tho.

Have the exact same problem. Changed VGA enable and now i got no picture, just audio. Im booting with A+B+Y+X press during boot and nothing happends. Also i tested this

Hey, same problem guys, just flashed my 1.6 box with an X3 regular with the new bios 3108, I get audio, no video at all. I flashed it with the old bios for boxes 1.0 thru 1.5 and was able to get some video but obviously I need the 1.6 bios for it to be able to read anything. Help appreciated, X3 chip with regular switchboard set to on on off off off

Hmm, after reloading the old 3108 bios for v 1.5 and under, I go into settings and find out my xbox is version 1.4... hmm, not as advertised. Ok, so at least I know I'm running the correct bios, but still not reading back ups or iso's yet... more fidgetting

Hi guys... I'm having the same problem here. I have a 1.6, just installed a Xecuter 3 CE, flashed it with X3 3108plus and all the flashing process went ok. Then when the xbox automatically shuts off I GOT NO VIDEO BUT STILL CAN LISTEN THE AUDIO. I haven't changed any setting (neither video nor nothing else). I also got flashing orange.

If I hold down the power button and disable the chip, eveything boots fine. If I press both buttons, the chip boots to 256kb backup bios.

I have tested using the button sequence that neogoten mentioned but nothing happens. Also I tried to boot holding A + B + X + Y but nothing happens neither.

Any idea please??? I am so desperate... I have two weeks with this problem...

Well if this is the first time u have flashed it with a bios and u get blank screen.
It can be two things...

1) u flashed the wrong version of bios...make sure u flash
X3 3108.bin is for v1.0 - v1.5 Xbox Versions
X3 3108 v16plus.bin is for v1.6/v1.6b Xbox Versions

2) Soldering of pins 13 & 14...
These are the i2c bus for the X3 chip.
This bus is only used once you flash your chip with an X3 bios. If u use flashbios or flash it with an X2 bios then it all works ok.
As soon as u flash an X3 bios then audio/blank screen.
Check the soldering here and re-do

I had flashed it a lot of time but nothing happened.

I had resolder the pins that you mentioned (13 & 14) but still the same problem.

Any other idea??? I'm so frustated with this problem. Nobody seems to know what is really going on with this...

PS: Just another question, ¿it's normal that when you are flashing the eject button flash in amber and green?

be absolutely certain of your version xbox and flash the correct bios.

also r u sure u got a good solder of 13 & 14...it may be worth grabbing evox m8 (x2 bios) and flash it to a 256k bank (say bank 8).
If that flashes good and u get video then its definately the pins problem.

Let me test with the evox m8 (x2 bios) at a 256k bank and see what happens...

Ok, I got the switch bank setting and flash the m8_16 on one 256k, the flash went ok, but when I boot from that bank I get 3 restart and then frag??? :S

Any idea???

PS: Still if I boot from the 1mb bank where I originally flashed X3 can hear the sound but no video.

I checked the pins 13 & 14 and soldered them again carefully... nothing happens

I HEAR THE FLUBER ANIMATION BUT NO VIDEO AT ALL. ALSO THE EJECT LED IS FLASHS IN AMBER THEN AFTER A MINUTE IT FRAGS...

I flashed m8 evox on my first 256k bank and boots ok. Also flashed x2 5032 v16plus on my last 512k and also boots ok???

What the problem with this, I want to flash X3 but NO VIDEO JUST AUDIO...
