HELP PLEASE! To flash my Xecuter 2.6 CE Bios!!!

Hi!

I'm a newbie and I already busted my chip! I bought a Xecuter 2.6 CE with the Xaptr3 solderless adapter and I flashed my bios with X2 4983 1 mb like I read on a forum...Then after my xbox boot X3 and then frag... So I know I have to make a hotswap, to use a programmer or to buy another chip...

So like it was the easiest way, I bought another chip like this one...Now I want to know which bios I have to flash with and also on which bank...My console is a 1.6 and this time I don't want to mess up everything again

Please help me! And sorry for my english, i'm french!

And someone would be interested in buying my other chip? It's brand new, just need to flash it again...

you need to flash the chip with x2 5035 v16 plus

if you get flashbios on bank 1 then just change switch to bank 2 too flash it
if you find flashbios on bank 2 flash bank 1 as long as you do not flash over your flashbios you will be ok just change switch with out turn off xbox after you get flashbios screen
flashbios 3.0.1 bank1 works with v1.6
flashbios 3.0.3 works with v1.6b

Ok so if I understand well, here's what I have to do:

Download X2 5035 and Evox V16 plus...After I make a 1mg bios.bin using X2 Manager...After I burn that on my cd...I use bank 1 because I have a 1.6 console, I put my cd and when it's start flashing my bios I switch to bank 2? Is that ok? Or I wait until it finish to flash on Bank 1 and before turning off my xbox I switch it on Bank 2? So now after everything should work perfectly...And also, do I have to lock or unlock my hdd before flashing???

And if I want to install Avalaunch? Do I just flash my bios with X2 5035, if yes which size? 256K on each bank 1 & 2? And after use a Auto installer like Slayers to install Avalauch?

Thanks for your help, it's VERY appreciate!!! I'm doing all this for my boyfriend and I understand nothing in that with the banks and everything so I really need a step to step to make it works perfectly...I'm a girl so don't ask me too much!

No. There is no need for any other bios. Just use 5035. Boot to which ever bank works for you (flashbios 3.01 works on a 1.6, 3.03 on a 1.6b) and flash. That's all you need to do.

Also, the infomation above is somewhat wrong. When you flash the chip using flashbios, it does not matter what bank you have selected to what bank you booted from, it will ALWAYS flash the first 512k to bank 1, and the second 512k to bank 2. This has been posted in countless posts on this forum. If you have a 1.6 and really want to keep flashbios around, you will have to make a 1 meg bios file with 5035 in the first bank, and 3.01 in the second bank (slots 3 and 4 in X2 Bios Manager).
