just received a 9504 replacement drive with pcb from china took a month but got it for around $40.
so i took an unlocked pcb that has a sputnik installed already and soldered it into the new drive. I know this pcb works because i had used it on another drive about a month ago. Anyways i put in an original and it says play game but when i click it i the game spins and black screen comes out for 2sec then back to dash. i put in another orignal and it says play dvd. i put in a back up and black screen back to dash.
My fw is 0401 and i have the key and dummy bin for the motherboard but i dont have the ofw. And yes i remembered to lock spi status and hit outro.
one more thing i have an elite i figured maybe it was my disc but same thing! back into dash with back ups and originals. just tried it a few hours later and the elite now reads originals but not backups games.
by the way there is no hdd on the slim other than the onboard mu.
