Hey everyone I was hoping that someone could share some of there knowledge on this issue that I have.

As the title says just bought BBC3 and i'm trying to play it on my phat xbox running LT+2.0, drive is 93450c but its throwing me an error. When I boot the system with the disk in it comes up with SYSTEM ERROR E66 and the bottom right red led comes on. If I turn it on without a disk then throw in BBC3 it goes to a black screen then the bottom right red led comes on.

So since this only occurs for BBC3 (retail) im assuming it has to do with XGD3 format as BBC2 and other non XGD3 game formats work fine (burnt ones or not).

So heres how I put on my CFW:

  1. Took the drive out of the xbox & hooked it up to the PC and loaded on the original firmware for it. The drive is a 93450c.
  2. Put it back in the xbox, got the dashboard update. After that back to PC
  3. I have a previously saved dummy .bin from back in the day when I extracted the key using the probe.
  4. I used the dummy bin to get the key
  5. I loaded in the CFW.
  6. I clicked Spoof Source To Target.
  7. Then I did the usual Erase and Write method for Lite-Ons (Lite-On Erase, Write).
I think I messed up on the spoofing part as I get the errors:

Spoofing Target
DVD Key copied to target
Target is LT - ID strings not copied to Target

Target rev is LT 02510C, serial info not copied

I know you cant spoof your drive anymore for the new XGD3 formats but I thought this method would still work since the drive keys are the same as I have the old key.bin and dummy.bin files from when I first starting flashing my drive a couple of years ago.

So my question is , how do I get the ID and serial parts to match?
Do I need to probe again?

I followed the JF Guide to do this but I didn't think I would need to probe again since I did before.

So after you updated the dashboard, did you make sure that the liteon had been flashed to a 02510C? Sounds like you have the wrong firmware for your dashboard. I'd try updating again and reflash.

sh*t, i think i may have used the PRE OFW instead of the POST OFW. I'm pretty sure everything updated though after I PRE OFW on it even though it should have been the POST one.

Did i just flag my console?

Only way to see if you've been flagged is to use xval. When you reflash your drive, open your dummy.bin or other ofw then select the 0251 lt2.0 file. Write as normal and you should be good to go.... Again :)

what I ended up doing was loading in my dummy .bin and spoofing that to the post org firmware and saving it out to file.

I then loaded that new firmware made with my dummy and spoofed that to the LT+2.0 CFW.

This now works for me.

So what i think it was is that i had the pre org firmware instead of the post one.
I checked to see if i was flagged with xval and everything looks fine.

Thanks for the help!

Hope this helps someone else with similar issues
