I screwed up and changed my video mode to PAL now the screen flickers and i cant read the screen to switch it back to NTSC... How can I reset it back to NTSC or default settings.. Does anyone have the menus memorized so i can do it with the controller blindly? Or do i need to flash it back.

Download Enigmah's videomode switchdisc.
Make it into a bootable CD.
Boot it up, press B on the controller and reboot the Xbox
It should work now.

You make the disk in the same way you make any other disc. Read the tutorials on how to make an Xbox disk.dark_knightson said:

I have recently softmodded my Xbox 360 with ixtreme 1.51 (hitachi 79).
my problem is every game i have tried to backup so far (red dead redemption, GTA IV), gets to the rockstar intro screen and then stops loading.
GTA IV simply loops the intro with the lollipop girl.
I burned using imgburn at 4x speed onto TDK DVD+R DL discs which apparently have the same success rate as Verbatim.
I don't know what i am doing wrong and any help would be greatly appreciated.

You gotta burn them slow. Instead 4x speed burn them at 2x speed or 2.4 speed. Hope that helps.

Are you using imageburn? That is what I use and have had no probs unless I have burbied to fast. You have to also set the layer break in the settings for the dual layer discs only a one time setting. Maybe try a different brand media like verbatim or memorex. Should be some tuts on using image burn out there and the correct settings.

I very much doubt it's burn speed and or media, specially since you have a hitachi drive.
Do original games work ok? Best bet with hitachi is to tweak the lasers pot, all you need is a small screwdriver, a multimeter and some patience, you can download a tut on how to do this from here : http://bit.ly/5cnXuw
