I did not understand a word you said. In real life do you speak in sentances that long. I can't figure out where one sentance ends and another begins?
Makes it really hard to understand you.
Ok, Your friend has a router/switch, most likely a linksys. It runs a protocal called DHCP or Dynamic Host Configuration Protocal. This protocal "gives" an IP address to your xbox as soon as you plug the cable in.
At home your PC does not run DHCP... so you have to manually give both your xbox and your PC an IP address to communitcate.
The reason your xbox says 0.0.0.0 is because it is telling you that it is set to DHCP and has not obtained an IP address from a DHCP server.
On top of that, since your friend has a linksys, you are using a straight through cable to connect your xbox to his network.
At home your PC is a DTE device, your xbox is one as well. Since you don't have a DCE device, like a switch, you need to get a cross-over cable to connect.
So this is what you do.
Go to best buy... or raidio shack, buy a cross over cable for $15.00
Go home and set your PC IP to 192.100.1.10 don't worry about the gateway... and the subnet mask will fill itself out when you click on it.
Go to your xbox and set it to 192.100.1.30 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and a gateway of 192.100.1.10
restart both devices and connect with the cross over cable...
Then make yourself a cheese sandwich, get a book on grammer and punctuation and learn english... it's a pretty usefull skill
