Hello there guys!

I have a Xecuter 2.6 CE mod chip, I tried installing it in my Xbox the other day, when I was done, I tried turning it on but it turned on and off two times until it stayed on and blinked green and red.. Any help? I got help from a guy who installs mod chips and stuff (a very busy guy, no chance of getting him to help us) He said nothing was wrong. Again, any help? When I turn the mod chip off it works, but when its on its not working. I am pretty sure I have all the cords hooked up correctly, and I even tried adjusting the settings on the CP thing with the on/off switch and everything, still didn't work.. I hope you guys can help me.

Thanks,
Arv3n

P.S. Version 1.6B Xbox.

What method did you use for the LPC rebuild? It sounds like a problem with you install. Check your soldering again.

Make sure you have the right BIOS on there. 1.6 needs a special bios.

When my 2.6 was incompletely flashed it would frag the same way. See if you can buy or borrow a programmer for it assuming it still doesn't work after you double check all your solder points.

Well see it said it supports all versions on the website.

There is so many guides for this and all are saying different things, can you make a complete tutorial on it or something? It's all SO confusing!

you've haven't got to the flashbios screen and flashed a bios to your chip
the problem is with your install, find the solution to that first and then you will come across flashbios if you succeed

you'll then take it from there

Hey,
I followed the tutorial, it does the same thing, and everything is hooked up.. It buzzes for a second when you turn it on and stuff. (Yes, stuff) The mod lights and stuff are actually turning ON this time and everything. I am sure everything is hooked up correctly, I am done screwing everything back on except the case, I put the CP switch through the 2nd Controller switch thingy.. Now, whether I turn the mod on or off the Xbox doesn't work. It WAS working before but no BIOS thing or booting up or nothing, just the regular Xbox screen until it told me to set the time, which I didn't I resetted the Xbox and it wasn't working. -_- Can anyone help me, again? I know I'm such a nub.

check your install to make sure you have not bridged or broken any traces

also make sure the external switch is properly connected at both ends at chip and switch, and that none of the swtich wires are getting pinched anywhere

The blue light under HD is blinking, and the one under LAN isn't coming on at all.

That might be the problem? The Xbox works now except for the booting up with the blue screen or whatever.

The LAN light is not needed for the chip to function. If you are still getting a frag, you still have a problem with your install. It may also be the connection between the wires and switches.

well if it dont work at all now when you have it on it sounds like you are making progress at least. this means the chip is stopping the stock bios from booting, now you just need to get the chip connected correctly. until its connected completely you wont be able to boot it, because the xbox cant read it yet.
check your rebuild, I know you have been told this, but
do it with the how to up on your screen infront of you, make sure your points are clean
and yes it does matter if you can or cant solder, you may need to take it to a pro.

Its not a bad thing if you cant do it yourself, I cant fly a air plane but I can mod a xbox. We just cant all do the same things.
