Hi all, i had a 250gb slim version like 3 years (or more) turn down, i remember some guy installed a RGH (i guess) chip

Today i turn on again and try to just play a new game, i must update from the disc to run the game so i start to learn how update it , i follow some pretty easy tutorials to update with dashlaunch 3.16 and xenbuild, my dash ver is 14699 and i get this error when i try to update with xebuild update -f 17489 trought updsvr

Code:
*****ERROR: console hv patches are not recent enough to support update mode! update console patches and reboot before trying again.

Ok, read somewhere that the command "
xebuild.exe client -p" should fix the problem, i get a new error:

Code:
connected to Trinity with updsvr version 2 (peek version 0)Updating patches in auto mode: 14699\bin\patches_g2Trinity.bin
***** ERROR: could not load 14699\bin\patches_g2Trinity.bin, aborting
So now, i0m totally lost, i don't know what to do :(

By other hand I tried to make nand dump, and seems there is not cpukey and that... the console has some backup in the hdd and works perfect with XeXMenu 1.1

Code:
     xeBuild v1.12.659---------------------------------------------------------------
---- { Client Mode } ----

started, watching network for xbox...success, found xbox beacon at 192.168.1.40
attempting to connect...success!
Getting console info...success!
connected to Trinity with updsvr version 1 (peek version 0)

Can you be a little more specific? i don't understand what do you mean
open up jrunner and inside the folder is jrunner pdf that explain to u how to update rgh to lastest dash
More specifically, start at page 22 of the PDF.

It explains how to update your RGH/JTAG console over the network using UPDSERV.

I can't remember exactly, but I think you need to update patches before UPDSERV will update the kernel.

Thanks, i see it just use Xenbuild and Dashlaunch updsver, so this it's just a GUI version of what i tried, i'm wrong?

I have the last Dashlaunch, it ask me to update on install, i said yes, so seems i have update the patches, but same error

I was talking about XeBuild patches.

Under the "Client Mode" tab in J-Runner, there is a button labelled "Update Patch(es)".

I think you need to use that to update the NAND HV patches first making the system ready for UPDSERV updates.

It has been a long time since I have done this, so I could be wrong - read the XeBuild NFO for more information.

Here is what you do, I'm going to put it as basic and simple as I can, since you are obviously clueless on RGH, as you had someone do it for you, I will give you the basic rundown.

So you're on an old dashboard, old dashlaunch and old Freestyle.

Step 1. Get a USB flash drive, format it FAT32 with a 3rd Party formatting tool preferably, A Simple Windows format might just work fine too.
Step 2. Make sure your xbox 360 console is connected to your network, the same router / switch as your PC
Step 3. Power on the Xbox 360 with the eject button. See the Xell load.
Step 4. Not the IP address on Xell. Go to your computer and type that IP Address into your browser. Click Download RawDump.
Step 5. Once downloaded, open the dump in Jrunner or Xebuild GUI. From the drop down menu select the latest dashboard version.
Step 6. Get the CPU KEY, with Xell still running, simple type in the IP Address on Jrunner. Watch it decrypt.
Step 7. Click Create XEBuild, watch it build and give you an output file. (updflash.bin)
Step 8. Download Raw Flash and extract all contents to the root of the USB drive you formatted earlier.
Step 9. Place updflash.bin on to the root of the usb drive, rename it to nandflash.bin
Step 10. Insert Flash drive into the Xbox while Xell is still on the screen, it will load rawflash and flash your nand with the new updated build.

You will need to reinstall FreeStyle again, also dashlaunch, but Aurora is the new thing now, however.
