Hi Team Xecuter! First of all I would like to say a huge thank you for providing such an incredible, high quality product! You guys are providing a great service, so please keep it up!
Ok here's my situation. I'm an amateur developer with a retail xbox, and I want to write games to run on my box. I am aware that commercial developers get a debug box to test on which provides the ability for rapid testing and on-device debugging. On-device debugging is provided via the XDK and Visual Studio 2003 and can provide an immense productivity boost, allowing prototype code to be more easily refactored into working code.
I believe that the differences between a retail and debug box are few - a debug bios (Easily obtained..), and a serial port on the back which allows the box to be connected to the PC...
How about it then? Is it possible to achieve the impossible? Can you mod a retail box so it is ready for commercial grade software development?
