Hi Team Xecuter! First of all I would like to say a huge thank you for providing such an incredible, high quality product! You guys are providing a great service, so please keep it up!

Ok here's my situation. I'm an amateur developer with a retail xbox, and I want to write games to run on my box. I am aware that commercial developers get a debug box to test on which provides the ability for rapid testing and on-device debugging. On-device debugging is provided via the XDK and Visual Studio 2003 and can provide an immense productivity boost, allowing prototype code to be more easily refactored into working code.

I believe that the differences between a retail and debug box are few - a debug bios (Easily obtained..), and a serial port on the back which allows the box to be connected to the PC...

How about it then? Is it possible to achieve the impossible? Can you mod a retail box so it is ready for commercial grade software development?

why dont u use the debug bios & use xbwatson 2 debug ur software its done via the xdk & ethernet :)
then u can compile ur source on pc add breakpost ect & it will be sent 2 ur xbox & auto executed & yeah.

Splitvid causing Disk Unreadable?

I have read somewhere that SplitVid can cause some copied games not to work. Is this true?

Because my modded 360 with Lite-on(dec 2009) and Ixtreme LT 1.0 has trouble with some games.

Bad Company 2: Trouble with loading weapons a lot of times, sometimes eventually they load after 10 sec, but also sometimes not, and the xbox360 is very quiet, its like it gave up.

Dirt 2: When loading 1st race: Disk Unreadable

Grid(2nd wave, ssv1 and no splitvid): Works fine

GTA Ballad of Gay Tony: No problems, although i notice sometimes thing pop up lately, but not sure if that is related to the problem.

I also called the guy who modded it, he says 1.1 won't fix the problem. But not sure thats true.

What do you guys think it could be?

Re: Splitvid causing Disk Unreadable?

You might want to try the LiteOn iXtreme LT v1.1 Update ANYWAY because that addresses this issue of disc read errors on LiteOn drives. I dont think the guy who modded the drive is "physic." Do you? I mean, what do you have to lose other than the un-known possibilities of what it could be? Get it done dude.

Also GTA: BOGT, I believe things in this game pop up slowly sometimes and it is nomal behavior because I have several friends who plays from the original discs and/or HDD. I play from a back-up and it behaves the same on mine ;)

Yes thats a good idea because IMO, a good modder will not just leave you with just "its not going to fix the problem" without even trying when there is a LiteOn iXtreme LT v1.1 update availible that addresses this nagging issue you're having. Good Luck!

Re: Splitvid causing Disk Unreadable?

Its mainly the BENQ Drive that has this bug not the LITEON Drive but they released the v1.1 LT FW so people could update their LITEON as well. :)

I heard that the issue with the benQ was that it was detectable on LIVE.

Yeah thats what it was http://team-xecuter.com/c4eva-benq-and-liteon-ixtreme-lt-v1-1-and-jungleflasher-v0-1-73/

What’s new/fixed:
* Liteon v1.1: improved media recognition for those with dirty disc error
* Benq v1.1: bug fix KNOWN security vulnerability … this is a must update

Re: Splitvid causing Disk Unreadable?

Yes as well as the disc unreadable error. As i said i have been fine with my liteon so if people want 2 update and still get the error then it must be down to their laser!!! :)
