Hi All,

noob here.

I just finished flashing my hitachi 59 drive and was so happy to test my back-ups, i accidently deleted my original firmware.

Anyone know how I can get it back? It is not longer on my drive.

Or am i royally screwed?

Thanks in advance!

There is no need to worrie as the hacked Hitachi firmware flashes none key areas.

If you wanted you could hook everything back up asper a flash and use restore.bat then flash again, this time keeping a copy for yourself.

Ok i have this same problem. To get my firmware back i just run the restore.bat from a command window.(like i was flashing the drive)

You dont need to restore to get your original back. If you use memdump (google 'memdump seventhson kev.nu' or soemthing like that - should also be in teh firmware package), you can make a dump of your firmware without needing to restore and reflash.

OH THANK YOU! I was so freaked out last night. But also relieved I was able to flash.

Thx to all who answered.
