HELP: What steps to update Samsung MS25 from LT 1.6 to LT+ 2.0?

I am resurrecting an old broken Xbox with a Samsung MS25 (I believe) drive in it with a RROD kit.

That said, before it broke I had put Xecuter's 1.6 FW on the DVD. That was like 2yrs ago and I haven't touched it since so I lost all the original files.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are these the proper steps to get it to LT+2.0?
1- Flash Samsung drive back to stock (using the file in "...\Stock firmware\Samsung\Samsung_Pre_13141")

2- Plug in Xbox and let it update to latest dashboard

3- Extract key using probe

4- Flash 2.0 FW

My CK3 motherboard thingy burnt out because I accidentally plugged it in backwards so if there is a way to extract key (if needed), I'd like info on that too... if possible. Maybe I can flash it with iPrep or something?

You need to go back to stock, but you need to have your dvd key in order to do that. You dont need a probe to read the dvd key on a sammy though.
After u have gone back to stock then update dash and then flash to LT2.0 with the key you have already obtained.

Ok, I do not have the original key though from when I put iXtreme 1.6 on it... is there ANY way around this? I know when I had the iXtreme version right before 1.9 was released I let MS update my dashboard on my LiteOn system. From there I extracted the key with CK3 and updated it fine to 1.9 w/out the OFW (original key). Are Samsungs different or something?

You can just read the DVD key from your samsung drive now, u dont need probe. Once u have read the key, spoof to target and then flash back to stock.
