Hi all,

An Custom XCI that worked previously no longer works. (ffvii) game boots, then says ''cannot be read'' (words to that effect)

I'm on emunand running 9.2.0 and V2.9.4

I have tried the following. Installed nsz on tinfoil, booted xci from album option and lastly installed nsp from album/sx built in installer.

The game icon is present, checked the game version is the latest - ver1.01 and when i boot i get ''The software was closed because on error occured''. I have also tried 2 different micro sd cards and installed a few games to check the sd card and installer are working, which they are.

Just seems strange and I can't answer it, could anyone else text for me please?

Thank you

This is going to suck, and I don't claim it's the only way, but for me, I was having similar issues, though with different games. I couldn't get Breath of the Wild to play if I updated it, and if I played it without updates it would crash when I hit a cutscene. The only way I was able to fix it was with a complete Switch factory reset.

You can use Checkpoint to backup your saves, then do the initialize and delete all data, just don't wipe your SD card. Then after installing everything and restoring your saves it should work. At least it did for me. Good luck.
