Help With Bios Mager Help Please!!!!!!

See i installed my X3 perfectly but when i trled to boot it up it didnt work so i thought it had something to do with the banks so i fooled around and i found that if i had it on Bank 4 it came up to the blue flash bios screen so then i falshed it on bank 4(beacuse i didnt know that it should be on bank 1 and 2) i falshed it with evox m7 and my xbox tured just tured off so i tried to restart it but it was black (when i falshed it it had a Seagate 160gb hd in it) once or twice i found a way to get it to that screen. Also the Backup falsh nver work's it only worked once. i have a 1.6B clear xbox Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok im not an expert on this kind of stuff but I know that the switch on your mod ship should be disabled and your protect should be disabled if you have a protect on your controll panel but if you do turn it off and im pretty shure that your have to put the switches in this order ON ON OFF OFF OFF if you have the one like me and have only four buttons and a protect it goes in this order protect-off OFF ON OFF OFF.

Dewey, I hope this is not the case but you may have flashed over your only working bios. Please set your switch as follows and let me know what you see.

If you have a pro switch:
off off on off off

If you have a standard switch:
Off on off off off

This boots you to bank 5678. This is the only bank that has flashbios 3.0.3 which you NEED because you've got a 1.6B xbox. If the screen does not come up using that selection you have two options:

1) Flash it in a previous model xbox
or
2) hotswap it with another 1.6B xbox.

You are correct that the backup won't work for you, that's because you've got a 1.6B.

no it does not boot up to the blue flash bios screen. i think my chip had the 3.3.1 bios on it before im not sure

What is Hot swaping and how do i falsh it with the original version

on my switch it has the numbers 1 2 3 4 and falsh protect so i think thats a standard im not sure.!?

THere is a sticky post at the top of the forum that states it is for the switch.
Inside that it will tell you EXACTLY what switch positions activate which bank.

This is IMPORTANT because the 2nd 1MB bank is made up of FOUR 256K banks. (Got it?)
Flashbios 3.0.3 is ONLY a 256K backup!

So here's what to do, find out which switch position each of the 5-6-7-8 banks relates to and then try EACH ONE individually.

IF you get one that luckily still has 3.0.3 in it STOP!

Once you find a bank that works make SURE that you DO NOT flash over it!!
To ensure you don't erase the working FlashBios bank switch the setting to the "1234" first 1MB bank AFTER it successfully boots. (On On Off Off Off) THEN flash it.
