Ok, so I got a new 2.6 CE Lite chip w/ xapter. Installed it fine, turned it on bank 2, unprotected, modchip on....flashbios 3.0.3 came up fine. I used the X2 Bios Manager, putting the x2_5032_vOld_512k.bin in banks 1,2 in the program, which I assume is bank 1 on the chip. Then burned it to a CD-R with a 100mb dummy file (abc.dat). Then I loaded this bios in via FlashBios, the bar went all the way through, the xbox shut off, now I can't get the FlashBios screen to boot up again, and no matter what bank I boot with the "microsoft" text still shows up after the flubber. Did I royally screw this up? The FlashBios screen won't come up no matter what I do. Any ideas??

Oh yeah, is worth trying to make bios disks and dashboard disks with cd-rw, or should I just find someone with a dvd-r and use their's?

you've flashed a 1mb bios of X2 5032 filling both banks with this bios

get a program called FlashX from the usual places and run it as an app on your box

you can choose which bank to flash with it and can have flashbios back on one of the banks

make a bootdisc (tutorial of how to make disc on front page) of a dash like avalaunch with ftp support

transfer the dash over to your box by ftp or the dash file manager

create a folder called apps, drop FlashX inside and ftp it over to your E or F drive, edit the dash settings file if needed and you should be set to launch after a reboot, look under applications and FlashX should be there

Ok, someone told me that Slayers auto-installer was an easy way to get up and running, so I got it. Will I be able to flash it once Slayers is installed, does the 2.6CE Lite support flashing via EvoX??

Work, always work
If the Slayer's Auto Installer has a BIOS file and FlashX included in it, you might be able to use it to program your chip. I've never tried it, but it would make sense for it to work.

I would do part of what MKChampion recommended which is to make an Avalaunch Boot disc, but I would include FlashX as an app on it. This seems easier to do than making a custom Slayer's Disc.

Just keep in mind you need to have a BIOS on the chip in order to run ANYTHING off the HDD, co I'm not sure how copying anything over to the HDD would help.

Hope this helps
