help with bios problms?

i just replaced my old 2.6 ce which somehow broke, so i was trying to put a bios on this one, using http, but when i try to use the bios, it shows the x2 config loading screen, then the flubber, and when its supposed to load my disc or whatever it resets and just goes through the loading over and over. i was using the x2.5035 old, something like that. so what could be wrong, do i have a bad version of the bios?

what version is your xbox?

try redownloading bios from xbins
then reflash your chip

my xbox is a 1.5 and i tried a few more bios's like the m8_16, m8plus, evox_m7_bfm, x2_4983.67, and x2_4983.06

i did realize that only the bios that are 512 will flash, if its only 256 my xbox shuts off in the middle.

does my xbox just hate me?

flash it with x2 5035 bios its 512k in size

ok so dled the x2.5035 and it gave me and old version and the 16plus, the 16plus didnt work, i guess that was for v1.6 xboxs, and with the old one it just goes through the loading and resests over and over.

x2 5035 v1.0 to v1.5 xboxs
x2 5035 v16 plus v1.6 and v1.6b xboxs

i used the x2.5035 and it hasnt worked, the screen says x2 config laoding, it does the flubber. and then resets

have you installed a new hard drive if so have you set it up
what dash are you useing

im just using a 10 gig, its not the origional, its one i had sitting around, maybe i should put the origional back in...

but the hd im using does have all the files for m$ dash and evox on it, its one i had working before my old chip broke.

should i try using the origional hd to make it work?

ok so i put the origional hd in, i get error code 16, something about the dashbaord

"16 - dashboard - Other files to do with dashboard / dashboard settings (specific dashboard error)"

that doesnt make much sense to me though...

but it dosent reset itself anymore, so thats progress.

if you got the hard drive unlocked then you may have to reinstall a newer version of ms dash download Auto ionstaller deluxe 3 or slayer installer they have a new ms dash that you can install to hard drive as well as XBMC evox avalanuch dash AID3 is the better one
allso check your ide cables before you do this

i have a disc with evox on it, but i cant get it to work, whenever i have it in when i turn my xbox on it resets, and if i let it load and then put it in, it dosent do anything.
