JTAG Help with cb

I need to help a buddy of mine by finding out how to find the cb version on a phat xbox 360. i know that you have to install the QSB's but what program do you use to find out if you have an exploitable xbox. I checked all the guides and i found 1 guide to find the cb versions. But its old and it was updated last year.

No there is a date on the back of xbox on the sticker that is a manufacturing date
