i have a new dvd drive hitachi ver 79 and my old drive is ver 59 is there any way that i can make the drive work on my xbox360? if so to put LT. 2.0 on it can i do it the same way as i did with the ver 59?

ps.............................................. or should i just send it back and get the ver 59 that i asked for, i was sick of waiting for the drive, i would like to keep it if it will work, but do i need the x360 usb pro or the other one dont know the name ..to put the LT 2.0
all i did for the 59 use the power from the xbox and put it in b mode and used the sata cable to the computer i dont know if it would work or not but i would like to get playing again. sorry for the long book and thanks again
