damnit ppl should read the rules on this site. Your not going to get any emails so dont ask for it. Be lucky if you don't get banned. And like i said, you do not get anything outa source files unles you compile it yourself, which i know you didn't do.

man, i wish i had an xdk.......*sigh*

what is the xbox's own language for coding? and other consoles?

do consoles use normal languages (c, c++, basic, etc.) or do they use some proprietary from of them?

Hey everyone..
I'm new to all of this so bear with me and please help me wherever you can.. I have a v1.6 xbox with x3 and evox and a 120 gig hd. my brother helped me modify everything but then had to leave to go back to college.

My main problem right now: if i put in a game and start to play, eventually it stops and goes to the evox dash. OR before the game loads it gives me a message like DISC UNABLE TO BE READ.. i dont understand why this would happen if it can read the disc.

Also: how do i get games on my hd?

This really annoys me.. Why do people think that just because they're new, they deserve to be helped. "Hi I'm new so I automatically qualify for your 100% attention and help until i am happy"

Playing games from the HD? I have 5 words for you:

USE THE f**kING SEARCH FUNCTION

Look man. I asked for help,, not sarcasm. Obviously I am not as experienced in this stuff as you. If all you are gonna do is give me answers like WTF do you think you gotta do with it. Then dont answer me at all cause you are just wasting my time. And like I said. The file that I downloaded had all the files I needed except that one. Also DUH. If I knew which mirror site to download it from I WOULD. But it doesnt say on xbins.

how bout you calm the f**k down a**h**e
Don't you f**king tell me to calm to f**k down, nor call me an a**h**e.. See what it says by your name over there? Rookie. That means you can't give me sh*t. It probably took you longer to write that response than finding the answer to your own question would've taken... Playing games from the HD is probably one of the most well documented features.

Also, I help plenty of people on this forum (evidence), but when they have genuine need for it, not just because they are lazy.. We're not here to serve you, nor are we obliged to help you. We help becasue we choose to, but when people like you just think "sh*t I don't know how to do <whatever>", and sign up to the foum, then straight away post asking for help, we become somewhat less inclined to do so..

I am willing to bet a large sum that you didn't read this or you would've done what the second line of that post says, search. We don't have a problem with inexperienced users, infact we welcome them to the community, but when you break the rules, don't even try to find out the answer for yourself, and come straight to us... Well, quite frankly, if you can't be bothered helping yourself, why the f**k should we? I think I speak for most of the forums Members here (Read: Not Rookies... members.)

Do me a favour, read that page, then come back here, and apologise, and I might not cover you in lime and bury you in my garden.

Good day.

not for nothing but you losers obviously have no lives if you sit around reading other peoples problems. if you dont want to be bothered with people that need help why even comment. and to top it off why be an a**h**e about it. you can simply say "just search for it. you'll most likely find it somewhere" but no. you have to go the extra step and waste your own time to put down the more inexperienced people. im sorry im not a complete loser and i HAVE a life. i got an xbox and modification components for christmas and i had no idea what to do with it. im a 15 year old jock from new york. what the f**k do you want from me. i searched and i tried getting dvd2xbox. i needed to know what files i need to put on my xbox hardrive and where to put them. no need for the hostility. i will not appologize to you because all i did was simply ask for help. you could have probably helped me in less time than it took you to write those responses to me.

Thanks cribrek, at least someone has some decency.

you broke the f**king rules. you have obviously not read the link i pointed you to. and for your information,, I have a life, a job and.... hobbies.. One of them happens to be my xbox, so as a consequence I am a regular member to these forums.

The fact that I refuse to help someone like you, does not mean I have no decency. Evidently you did not read the other link I provided you with, highlighting the many people I have tried my best to help. (infact, I have now been researching for a good 3 days a way of rescuing a hd that is locked with an unknown password, as someone on this forum locked their HD then reflashed their eeprom, rendering their 160gb hd a paperweight!!)

Guess how long it took me to find this: dvd2xbox FAQ

I'll give you a clue... Google for dvd2xbox, I'm feeling lucky. Click FAQ. I'd say less than thirty seconds, may have taken you more if you are a narrowbander. I think you'll find it answers all your questions. (Cunning that, with it being the dvd2xbox frequently asked questions)

I have one more link which will help you with any future problems: http://www.f**kinggoogleit.com

In the words of Pontius Pilate - "I wash my hands of the issue", now go away, mature, and don't come back.

Sorry for a slight topic change guys, but you all seem very knowledgable about the Evox installation, and I seem to be having a problem with (I think), my evox.ini file.

I've put the evox.ini, evoxdash.xbe and skins folder onto the c drive of the xbox - everything works perfectly as long as I boot through the modchip, but a disabled boot gives me a 'your xbox has an error, you must contact the xbox tech. support center', or something along those lines...

I'm thinking that I have a problem with my dashboard delegation in the ini file, but if anyone could tell me just what it is, that'd be great...

thanks a bunch

solder points should be fine.... I've just installed evox this afternoon and the disabled mode was working fine before that...

I'll check to see if the HD is locked...

I just upgraded to a larger HD, and I had copied the C and E folders to the right partitions... xboxdash.xbe was right there in the c 'drive'

before I lock the HD... is this something that I should right down a code, or is it irreversible or something (I checked it, i was unlocked..)

thanks!

always stateside users demand help and are too lazy to read - they all want to be spoon fed

funny how europeans and asia pacific members tend to actually read the stickes / tutorials and get a clue before posting anything

coincidence ?
