Help with evox and backup of hdd

Hi,
I have a 1.3 xbox and a 2.6ce, I got it yesterday and i flashed it witht the xecuter 5035 bios. If i ever figure out how to get the new hdd in it will it support a 250gb hdd? and also i need help getting evolution x on it so i can put the hdd in. I tried searching tons of tutorials about installing the evox dashboard and non have worked. Every time i put the burned disc in it says that it's not a dvd or game disc please check or eject to continue. I have tried using slayer 2.6 but i get the same thing. I have used a hp dvd+rw disc, prime peripherals cd-rw, and memorex dvd+r discs. what else can i do? and by the way it's my first xbox mod so please help. and did i put this in the right fourm section?

Burn at the slowest speed possible. Keep trying other media. That's really all I can say. How did you flash the bios? If via disc, try that disc again if it is rewritable.

i flashed it via http. and do you know if the 250gb is going to work the the xecuter 5035 bios?

ok good to know. Now about getting evo on my xbox. Every time i put it in, it says the same thing. I don't know the ip address so i can't ftp it over. but when i go to the cromwell screen and i say flash over network it tells me it's 192.168.0.107 and 255.255.255.0 Should i try another brand of media? I have the thompson dvd drive in it. and like i said i think it's a version 1.3. and also to copy the games to the hdd i need dvd2 something right

Ok i got it, Most cd-rw media dosn't work in the xbox. but i put the dvd+r disc with slayer and it worked.
