Help With Falcon RGH 1

Hey i have a Falcon Motherboard on dash 14699 CB 5771 that i am trying to boot into xell with coolrunner rev c , i am not sure if i was following an old tutorial or not but after programming the rev c the guide said to create ecc and i was unable to do so it either said failed or it was greyed out so i searched the forums and someone said you dont need to create ecc just use the one in the common folder so i loaded the FALCON.ecc into the source file and flashed ecc with file in common folder and i have it set to dash 14699, i plug it in and the red light comes on and the green light is flashing but doesnt boot into xell, i have checked my wiring and re soldered 3 times & also i tried the white cable it came with and switch it to the blue and tried both points same results.

Unable to find the specified file.


Description of problem: Falcon Motherboard on dash 14699 CB 5771 that i am trying to boot into xell with coolrunner rev c , i am not sure if i was following an old tutorial or not but after programming the rev c the guide said to create ecc and i was unable to do so it either said failed or it was greyed out so i searched the forums and someone said you dont need to create ecc just use the one in the common folder so i loaded the FALCON.ecc into the source file and flashed ecc with file in common folder and i have it set to dash 14699, i plug it in and the red light comes on and the green light is flashing but doesnt boot into xell, i have checked my wiring and re soldered 3 times & also i tried the white cable it came with and switch it to the blue and tried both points same results.

Was the console working before you started: Y

Do you get a green debug light appear on the RGH chip every 4-5 seconds: Y

How long is the light on for each time: 5 Sec

personally i would have done it by the book, put nand dump in source and 2nd nand dump in load extra. compared nands and created ecc then write ecc to nand. get xell via eject button noting your cpu/dvd/key then follow the rest of tut

Hi,

it worked for me, Ive explained what to do in my email to u. i would also try a different xsvf file for coolrunner. try the rgh2 files, theyre in jrunner/common/xsvf/rgh2. try a,b,c,d files in turn and see if it glitches in to xell

Hey everything went smooth with the rgh but as i was putting the console back together i noticed that stby_clk was loose and not booting so i went to re adjust the orange wire and the trace lifted right off. I knew my soldering skills were not the best so i took it to a pro up the street and he fixed the trace for me but the console is still unable to boot. I also tried to use alternate point for stby_clk before the trace got fixed and the pad looks a little burnt ill upload pics.

That does not look repaired at all. Need to use a much thinner wire as well. Looks like the wire is just resting on top of the trace (cold joint no flux). Are you sure he's a pro? Doesnt look like it.
