My Xbox is a V1.6B, Xapter 1.6 Solderless Adapter And Xecutor 3 CE. I burnt my own BIOS CD-RW with evo8 and a 100mb dummy file when it finished flashing and turned off i enabled flash protection and turned the banks off and all i get is a black screen, i turn the banks that i flashed back on and i still get a black screen but when i enable the 256k backup BIOS its comes up FlashBIOS 3.0.1. What Have i done wrong?

try setting switches to: off.on.off.off.off and boot up. Then BEFORE you flash change the switches to: on.on.off.off.off.
Flash with 3294 v16 plus.
When it's finished it will shut down, leave the switches alone and restart.

Obviously you haven't read flashing properly and the X3's features properly.
There are 8 * 256KB banks. The X3 Bios is 1MB so you need 4 banks for that.
The 4 switches are settings you need to look up, or just follow rockclimbers instructions exactly and make sure you have the correct bios,
It must be for version 1.6, be a 1MB .bin file (1MB = 1024KB).

Please make sure you always have a way to be back to FlashBIOS after flashing.

What have you tried?
You need to be more specific.

I am getting really pissed off with me xbox now seeming it took me a month to install the damn X3CE with its solderless adapter Xapt3r 1.6 and then i go and buggar it up with the wrong BIOS. Why does it hate me???

i have just discovered why it won't boot up and heres my list:

1. Quote (Read the bold/italic paragraphs)
"a. You can update your bios via HTTP / Hard Drive OR Disc (All optional)
b. FlashBIOS will work on both Xecuter 2.6 and Xecuter 3 Modchips

c. If you cannot navigate the FlashBIOS menu - have only one controller plugged in, unplug any DVD dongles or memory cards, try to use an original MS controller.
d. FlashBIOS v3.03 may not work on v1.6 in some cases (works great on v1.6b) - at time of press this is being investigated and we recommend you use v3.01 for v1.6 - this tutorial is exactly the same for that version.
e. FlashBIOS is a utility to update your modchip with any other bios. You cannot play games or run unsigned software with this bios. If you want to run unsigned software you must download a hacked bios like X3 Bios, X2 Bios or Evox Bios. These are illegal and we do not provide direct links. Read this page for info where to find hacked bios's http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/xbins.php
f. Make sure you know what you are doing when unlocking your hard drive. If you drive is unlocked you will NOT be able to boot to the MS dashboard. You will get a service screen with an error code - so BE CAREFUL.

If you get a black video screen then you most probably have a new v1.6b Xbox (check to see if the system RAM is made by Hynix) and you have an older version of FlashBIOS. You will need to send it back to your installer to get it updated to FlashBIOS v3.03 or see if you can get a friend to do it for you. Remember FRAG = Faulty Install, Black Screen = New Xbox/Old Bios" This information was copied and pasted from Teamexcuter's FlashBIOs Tutorial

2. I have a V1.6b with an Exclaiber Video Encoder with Hynix System RAM

3. The X3CE installed in my Xbox has got FlashBIOS 3.0.1 and not 3.0.3

4. I have flashed the X3CE 1mb bank (Switches 1+2, Old Xecuter Switch) with the up-to-date X3 3294 V16Plus

5. I have also found out that i do not need the 1.6 PCB Rebuild because thats what the Xapt3r 1.6 does for you

So how do i update the FlashBIOS from 3.0.1 to 3.0.3??? and hopefully it might work

Have you been reading our posts properly?
We mentioned all of that already.

All chips come with both bioses these days.
Bank 1-4: FlashBIOS 3.0.1 (switches on on off off)
Bank 5-8: FlashBIOS 3.0.3 (switches off on off off)

For flashing to 1.6B:
Switch to off on off off (2nd 1MB bios which uses FlashBIOS 3.0.3) to boot up.
Then BEFORE flashing the bios, change the switches to (on on off off) flash protect off.

Make sure you are flashing with the correct bios downloaded from #xbins.
Unrar the file.
There should be two files
The one with 'v16 plus' is for Xbox version 1.6.
Use that file for flashing...

Boot to the backup bios by holding in power and eject.
(Islander is right it is unusual for a 1.6b to boot from here, but not unknown.)
Once you have flashbios up then set the switches to: on.on.off.off.off and flash it with 3294 v16 plus.
After it has finished flashing it will shut down, leave the switches alone and restart using the power button.
If it still frags then you have a bad install or corrupt bios.
