LITEON DG-16D4S - SLIM help with flashing

Hello I am hoping some one could help me please.

I have a x360 usb pro.

I have an xbox slim FW 0401 and the drive was really playing up would keep ejecting once closed and would not read games so I bought a new drive but its a 9504 drive.

Now i dont want it flashed or anything just stock fw so i managed to do a full dump of the 0401 drive and then i plugged in the 9504 drive i loaded the target fw as stock 9504 and manual spoofed the key and done slim unlock got vendor mode and then wrote.

Now when i try to play a game it does see the game but it goes to load up and then just goes back to the dash. I thought an update might sort it so i fully updated to latest dash etc which didn't work so then i tried using the 0401 stock fw as target and re flashed but its still the same.

Not sure if this can be sorted but any help would be great thank you.

You have an 0401 drive. Why would you even select 9504 as target???

I'm sure it's in the JF manual, but here:

1. Load the dummy.bin from your 0401 drive.

2. Load the target firmware as 0401 stock (from the stock firmware pack on xbins).

3. Copy source to target.

4. Put your 9504 board (FW doesn't matter here as it's a DG-16D4S PCB) into vendor mode.

5. Write your firmware to the drive.

He won't need to. If it's a 9504 then the SPI will be unlocked anyway.

hello thanks for the info but now everytime i try and get drive in vendor mode by clicking slim unlock i get an error sim unlock command returned an error not sure what to do about that sorry.

oh yea true, my mind is stuck in 0225 and up mode

You need to use Intro Device option. Hope that you didn't lock the SPI. It should still show status as 0x00.
