Help with getting xell on xbox

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the fourms... hence me posting in the secton :biggrin:

I'm having a difficult time getting xell on my xbox, i've read to search xbinx, and i did see reloaded that i can download, is there a specific version of xell i need for my xbox 360 trinity slim ?

Once i have the file, can i program it using jtag tool? or do i need another software?

Do i install the xell file on the cool runner or on the Nand chip.

So far i've modified my dvd drive sucessfully

Read the nand
Umapped the nand
Remapped the nand


I have the cool runner chip installed in my xbox and working ... i think...

the xbox sometimes loads normally... however for some reason the LED stays red on the power button...

sometimes it won't load up... and one time i got it to load up properly with the leds lighting correctlly...

i have alot of questions.. sorry for the rant... any links or simple tutorial link to help me out i would appreciate

There are so many things you need to read that i can only point you to the stickys....

And i do mean READ!

Being new to something does not get you a free ticket to being lazy and not reading.
If you wanna do it yourself (hack your 360) then make sure you KNOW what you are doing before you start!
If not, pay an installer!


But the fast rundown is like this:

1: Read nand (2-3 times) Check so they match!
2: Build glitch image and flash to nand.
3: Program coolrunner with correct timing files
4: Solder in coolrunner.
5: Get cpu key
6: Build freeboot and flash to nand
7: Done

I hope you take it the right way, i am not trying to be rude, but damn, you REALLY need to check some tutorials before asking anything more!

First mistake:

"Read the nand
Umapped the nand
Remapped the nand"

Messing about with your NAND is a surefire way of screwing it up.

Read ALL guides and tutorials before even posting anything else (something you should have done before even posting at all).
