Help With Hitachi 59 Drive

I Got the drive into mode b by using the slax cd, but when i reboot windows it get to a screen that says "VIA Technologies Inc Via vt6421 raid bios setting utility v4.50 scan devices please wait" then it either lists my drive and says some thing about hitting the tab key or it says hardware initiate failed please check device hit g to continue. If I hit g nothing happens. Any suggestions!

Ok i found the drivers hope this fixes the problem I will post back

Installed the drivers and now sometimes i can get it past the via screen but when at the xp loading screen i eject the drive a few times but windows just stays at the loading screen. I have no idea whats going on Im about ready to take this thing outside and run it over with my car.

you should deinstall the RAID config utility... it is not being liked.

install the driver only for your SATA chipset on your motherboard.
then it should work

How would i go about unistalling the configuration program

Probably Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.

Or, at the least, you could just disable it starting automatically by doing Start > Run > msconfig > Startup tab. Look through the list, find Raid tool and uncheck the box, save and restart.
