ANSWERED HELP WITH REPLACEMENT LITEON

hi there im new to posting on forums even though i use them alot to get information on a matter. im am in a bit of a pickle with my new iteon drive as i have a xbox elite and had a 9 series disc drive which i fried pcb i brought a new disc drive and was a 7 series i looked on the net and everyone said its good to do just erase and write the 9 series firmware with you original dummy.bin as source and i used the LTPlus-025v1.91 as target but for some reason when i turn on xbox dash board loads the drive reads the backup disc game anad the image shows on dash but when i go to boot the game itself will go black screen as if was going to boot and goes back to dash and will load originals 90% of the time but comes up with play dvd sometimes. i have aslo flashed the drive twise now both came out perfect flashes is this due to being a different version liteon . quick video on sort of what i mean sorry for the low quality thanks

added jungleflasher log and also all backup games are up to date etc and worked on previous drive also using the infiniti 360 discs to burn using image burn at 4X

Are all the games your trying patched up to date? If it reads originals most of the time but not back ups it could be a weak laser. Also what disc are you using for back-ups?

A new laser will run you about $20 or a new drive for like $35. Until then you can try to clean your lens with a que tip and alcohol gently or maybe a pot tweak. I have had drives that just needed the lens cleaned and they worked. Also what brand of discs are using for backups?

Replacing the drive would be easier than the laser, as long as you have the key handy. I had to replace a laser from one drive to another, the only thing is that the disk tray of one drive wouldn't open, so it was a pain to get that laser out.

You need to do some homework on how to open a dvd tray manually :facepalm:


For the others

Would ye stop ffs the flash log is fine he needs to change the Lens read his previous posts he states it plays originals sometimes the sometime it wont and gives a black screen on backups.
That is a lens that is on its last legs fighting to stay alive poor thing lol..

I just wondered why you would flash directly from one fw revision to another?? i.e. a 93450 to an 02510 without a dash update??

anyways @OP - get that laser changed and report back - before I get into trouble from Johnny lol

im on the latest dash guys as i dont get asked to do a update anymore, so i dont need to do a dash update and i was told to flash that firmware to the drive as that is the version i need for the drive.
i did have a liteon 93450 and lt1.90 and i f**ked up when flashing to 1.91 so needed a new drive got a 7 series from ck3.co.uk few days ago and flashed it then came with this problem quick question i have done a few flashed drive now but never replaced one did i do it correctly

Power your drive, load JungleFlasher, load your dummy.bin (the one you saved from the 93450 drive) as the source firmware, load LTPlus-025v1.91.bin as the target, click spoof source to target, go to the MTKFLASH32 tab, click Lite-On Erase, click Write and finally click Outro :).

that is what i did got had drive half open loaded jf and opened my orginal dummy.bin from when i extracted it ages ago and opened up the LTPlus-025v1.91.bin as target i then spoofed and erased then wrote finally outro so i done it correct so it must of been the drive but tbh i had issues getting the drive to eject its brand new liteon drive from ck3 but it kept getting jammed and making loud noices but sent it back now so hopefully get a new one that works.
