I am using textbooks tutorial. And my computer is having trouble with the original.bin. maybe the md5 i am using via iprep is incoorect or what. please help. im a noob at this
okay sorry. i can't get my comp to boot from usb. so i use the NTFS4DOS cd method. Everything works fine until it says the original.bin is not 256kb. Does it matter if i have the via vt6421 sata drive. do i need to hex edit i? i need some serious help. My mother board is nFORCE4-A754. thanjks
im not sure about that mobo.i do know a lot of nforce boards WONT work.i would put in a pci sata card.then it should be fine.

getting my computer to get my 360 drive was the hardest part once i got that it was all downhill from there.
use textbook to the letter and you should be fine.
ive nevere done it with a cd i use a flash.
the computer should boot from a flash unless it is very old.
make a boot flash.(put it in the computer)boot the computer and go to the bios.it should give you the option to boot from usb then.
i dont ever see 256 original.bin till the dump is done.
i have the VIA VT6421 pci sata card. Does it need to be hex edited? My bios gives me 3 options for usb boot- usb-cdrom, usb-zip, and usb-ffd. I have tried them all and they dont seem to wirk. thanks for the help
