Hi.

I installed my X2.6CE with xapt3r about 2 months ago, all has been fine up until about now.

What happens is when I boot the Xbox with chip on it does the cycle where it reboots several times. However, when I go to my MS Dash (with chip turned off) it always asks for the system clock to be set. Once that is done I'll turn it off and check the time is there still. I'll switch over to FlashBIOS on bank 2 to make sure that is working, and once that is done I can finally boot my Xbox with my Modchip turned on.

I'm thinking it might possibly be a seating problem, however it's taken quite a while to actually show up, and this Xbox doesn't get moved around much at all so there's been hardly any chance of it getting knocked, bumped etc.

Any help is appreciated...

Thanks for the reply djbooby.

I'm using the X2 5032 BIOS at the moment.

I haven't tried swapping chips as I only have the one on me at the moment.

I'll try the method with the old date and reflashing to see if that helps me at all, but if that fails I'll open the box up and check the install.

Thanks for your help, and your support of Auto-Installer Deluxe. Just a quick heads up that 3.10 will be out this week sometime hopefully.

Yup the 4817 bios is a known TSOP BIOS, as I don't flash my TSOP at all (I'd rather softmod over TSOP flash).

I've got some spare time today so I'll pull my xbox apart and make sure everything is installed properly, might be a chance of it just coming loose hopefully.
