Hello everyone, sorry to be a pain in the arse. I wonder if someone could clear this up for me, I am alas a noobie :-( I've got a v1.0 box which has nicely got all the pin header holes filled in :?
I've had a good look around the forum and have found myself in almost every tutorial looking for details on wiring colours for the optional wire install with the X3. I manage to find this:
http://home.comcast.net/~x3guide/InstallationFAQ.htm

So went in for the plung and wired the baby up, did all the rest in the tutorials and put it back together.

Plugged it in and FRAGG  Green and Red switching on and off

I sh*t a few bricks for a good half hour then went back to the forums  and looked up flashing lights, the bricks stopped it could just be the soldering :x
Anyway i then started thinking i could have the wrong wires on the wrong holes. ARRRHH

HELP!!

So peeps have i got the wiring wrong or am i looking at touching up the joints.

Same diagram I used to put the X3 in my V1.0. I got frags the first time I booted. Turned out I had not soldered one of the wires very well. I broke out my multimeter the second time out and rechecked each solder point. Sure enough when I was sure each solder point was made, the X3 booted up on cue!

Yeah major Joy!!!

The little red wire on the header was loose, I've now got a V3.0.1 bios screen.
Thanks chasealicious11 and sidewinder007z for your help moocho thanks. So on with flashing :? I'm starting to get my head round all the bios flashing and dashboard replacement ish but there does seem to be a shed load of them about, any suggestions would be spot on.
