help with version and flashing

'm not sure if i have a 1.6 or a 1.6b xbox if i could tell that ight help but i ordered a pre-mod and it did not come with the flash bios...instead it came with the x3 os

i accidently deleted the OS when i put on evoX bios but now i relize i didn't have to. i want to get it back but i don't know how if i can't flash the bios using the normally pre-installed FlashBIOS v3.03. i was going to install it untill on their site it said

Works on all versions except v1.6b for the 3.01 version and Works on all versions except v1.6 for the 3.03 version

so since i definately have one of those which one if any can i use...and when they say does not work on 1.6 does it work on 1.6b and the other way around for the other one. and when i do go to flash it onto the chip how do i do it if i don't have the ftp or http flash...or that program on to flash it with...

when u say it came with the X3 os, do u mean X3CL? but first off do u already have flash bios v3.0.3? if u do then ur set. just grab the 3029bios from the "usual place". then open it up with winRAR copy the bois.bin file v1.6plus to a cd via nero and throw a dummy file on it. turn on the xbox when u get to the flashbios screen go to flash via disc, throw your bios disc in and ur done. but how did u get evox on the box without http?

thats the thing it didn't come with flash bios...it came with the illegal 3029bios but i overwrote them on accident with the m8 bios b4 i realized that the x3 bios could load the dash

o yea and i got the evox dash and bios on with the slayer install disk and then i realized that it was out of date so i had to update everything with ftp

ok so u need flashbios? have u checked all banks? what about the backup bank? well anyway u can download flashbios from teamxecuter u will need flashbios v3.0.3 for the 1.6 and newer. but u might whant to check your version box by looking around xbox-scene they have tut on how to determine your version.

ok so which version of flash bios should i install...3.01 or 3.03...3.01 says that it works on everything except 1.6b and i have a 1.6 and 3.03 says it doesn't work on 1.6 so i guess i use the 3.01 but how do i flash that in do i just use a boot cd and load that bank

also where else can i get the 3.01 from or eith of them because hwen i click to download off teamxecuter it says this mudle is no long active error
