Ok - I have been out of flashing xboxes for over a year now (a lot's changed) - roughly when we started flashing lite-on's.
My PC doesn't have any PCI slots - so I never could add the card to allow me to do port i/o (if I remember right that's what it did).

So - what can I use to flash drives now? Do I still need an open PCI slot for some piece of hardware or has it all become usable over USB? I saw I probably need an Xecuter CK3i and Xecuter X360USB Pro? Do I need probes too? Just trying to figure all the new gear out.

Ok the card that my PC cant take is a SATA card... I mistyped. So - what all would I need to flash without having to use a PCI slot SATA card with the VIA chipset?

The x360usb pro will allow you to connect all drives to your pc via usb, so no need for sata. If you have a lite-on you need a probe to get the drive key. If you already have the key then you don't need a probe to flash. a connectivity kit would be a plus but you can use the 360 to power the drive if you want.

So the connectivity kit CK3 is used to power the drive without the xbox? The xbox360usb pro doesnt do that?

Correct the X360USB PRO only allows you to connect a sata drive via USB it does not provide power.
