I've installed the solderless adapter Xapter and the X3 chip. When booting without the chip in its boots up fine to the M$ bios and the blue lights are on and the red one blinked for a sec. When I put the chip on it Frags.....if anyone could help me with a solution it would be greatful as I am getting annoyed.

I have a v1.4 xbox. All I've done is attach the Xapt3r and everything seems to be fine. All the blue LEDs light up and the red blinks. The DO point is secure. I put the X3 on the adapter and turn on the xbox and i get frag. If i take the chip off the adapter everything boots up fine to the M$ bios. I've never soldered one thing on the board. I have no clue whats wrong. The only thing i did to the chip was move the switch to flash protection off. Not sure if that does anything........any suggestions what the problem might be?

I've done all those settings and still frags. could it be that there is no bios on the chip? and if so is there a way to flash it when all it does is frags?

does it boot backup (press pwr& reset together)
if so then u can flash banks from there...if not then xapt3r not seated properly or pin header area dirty.

remove xapt3r and clean LPC area with alcohol (meths/ethanol) had this where people have desoldered the holes first to fit the adaptor...(this leaves flux on the pads and makes bad contact)
