Help with Xbmp

yea, im a noob at this xbox mod stuff, I don't even know what Bios I have because I got the xbox off my friend for cheap. I was messing around in the resolution thing and screwed it up. Ive already looked through past threads, seems to be a problem. Also tried many of the solutions and I can't get any of them to work. I'm not sure if im correct but on the boot cd I put:

1.bin a 75mb folder
default.xbe
and a folder called Media

I burned it on a CD-RW with Nero 6

When I use it I get no results
Can someone tell me where I went wrong (besides changing the resolution )

I want to switch to Xbmc but I can't till i fix this problem

so what are you saying? ... are u trying to basically install XBMC pretty much?... well if u are just install XBMC to E:\APPS\ (so basically something like this... E:\APPS\XBMC\default.xbe )

this will most likely work since almost all dashboards check this section of the xbox.

basically if you currently have a dashboard like evox etc on your xbox... just use FTP to transfer XBMC onto your xbox... no need to make a cd-rw if you currently have a working dashboard.

Are you able to FTP into your Xbox from your PC? You could transfer the XBMC files that way.

On a side note, why did you feel it was neccessary to create a boot CD? Does your Xbox boot up properly to it's dash, or was XBMC your dash and you can't see it properly anymore after changing the resolution setttings?
