JTAG Help with Zephyr 4580

Hey everyone,

Ok here is my problem. I had my zephyr 4580 jtagged with the nand-x and running fine on 9199 dashboard. I was getting the sporadic e79 errors. So after getting tired of that I decided to do the alt JTAg SMC/Points in this tutorial to get rid of the problem.(http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55189)

Everything went fine and all my solder points are good. I'm just having trouble flashing the nand now. For some reason what ever tutorial I follow now to make the new nand with the alt smc/points doesn't seem to work. I know the zephyr 4580 boards are the hardest to do. I was just wondering if anyone has successfully gotten to the new kinect dash with the alt points? Any help would be grateful!

How are you creating your freeboot image, have you tried using the latest jtag tool?

I used JTag Cool Shrimp 2.76. I also used the guide in my previous post and did it the long way. But got stuck when I reached the XBR to Freeboot part. My motherboard type wouldn't show up.

Your description of the problem is skimmish. What happens exactly when you create freeboot with the latest jtag tool? Did you tick the alt points option in jtag tool prior to creating it?

Yea I checked the boxes for the alt points. When I flash my xbox with the nand created it gives me 3 red lights.

I don't get any kind of video signal when I get the 3 red lights. It's running through an HDMI cord though. Is that why nothing shows up?

Try using a normal A/V cable and see if it works.

Nah nothing came up when I used the other cables. Just the 3 red lights and a blank screen.

So you held the Sync button and pressed eject 4 times to get the secondary code? Can you at least get xell to boot at the moment?

Ok. So I went back and followed this guide again. http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55189
I was able to get to step #34. I plugged in my xbox and it booted and I was able to boot in to Xell. Now my problem is that I can't get past step #36. XBR to FreeBoot doesn't have an option for my zephyr motherboard. So it gives you an alternate way though Jtag tool to do it,but that didn't work for me. Any ideas?

Upload your original NAND dump to some place such as mediafire and PM the download link along with your CPU key and I will create freeboot for you.
