Hi i was hoping someone could shed some light on my issue any ideas would be greatly appreciated, I have a corona v6 board (360 E) that I have installed the TX 4gb R/W QSB on, all soldering looks good and it was a nice clean install with no problems or pads pulled etc (see images below). I also bridged r2c6 and r2c7

I Can read the nand without issue both a full dump and 48mb however as soon as I go to write the .ecc file I get a cyclic redundancy error when using a usb t-flash drive which has been used before on a corona v2 or I get a I/O error if I use the card reader I have tried three computers which will all read but not write, same errors on all here's the j-runner log,.

The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

Note i also know that the internal memory is failing as I cant save any new profile or updates but wasn't sure if this would prevent nand reading/writing and RGH install i couldn't find any sort of info on it. Desperate for any ideas as I'm now scratching my head, the console still boots fine with the cr3 installed and set to prog.

Cheers in advance

your issue is that the nand is curropted/ u need to have the nand converted to a 16mb nand then your all good/ if your in the usa get ahold of jsinger hes done a few of mine he charges 30-35 plus shipping which is very cheap ,goodluck

Dont suppose anyone in uk does this? ive got a rework station but have always struggled to get the temp evened out for a gpu on the old boards but it may be big enough to do a nand chip but think id rather find someone to do it if i can. cheers

It does not need to be corrupted NAND in every case. @OP: Just write original NAND back and try to write there any data, this will tell you if the NAND is corrupted or not.

From my experience I had a few Corona's V6 which behaved the same. Although with my old good SD card reader I did dozens of 4GB Corona's with no problem and many of them were V6, I had a few those where I was not able to write but only read. I tried several SD readers and found one with what I was able to write to these stubborn one's. Now time to time I still face these models so I know that what I need is to pick my "extra" SD reader from drawer and use it.

I would bet it is your case :)

I've tried writing orig NAND back, I even tried autogg just to check it wasn't j-runner, same again read but no write i've got a selection of usb t-flash drives on order and an external sd card reader ordered for next week just to see if they'd help but I guessed that the corrupt internal MU had something to do with it as it wont let me create a profile or do an update, it also only shows as 1.1gb which I'm not sure if that's normal, from what I've read some say it is others say its more

Sorry my bad, I did not notice this when I first read this.

If you are unable to perform dashboard update, create new profile or save any data to the NAND, then is is corrupted as stated by john.

I also had a few of these (either V4 or V6) and I ended up replacing the 4GB BGA chip. It costs only $10 - http://www.aliexpress.com/item/H26M31001FPR-BGA-100-NEW-ORIGINAL-FREE-SHIPPING/1982830666.html

so am I right in thinking that it's just a straight swap out for the chip in the link no caps or resistor removal

Nowhere
probably a better idea to just convert it to 16mb,as it has a possibility of happening again in the future.pretty common issue on all corona 4gb.
