Help Xbox won't boot up dashboard.

Hi Im pretty new to this area for xbox. I was wondering if anyone can help me out with this issue im having? well basically everything was working fine until i think i did a controller button combo or the power up and open button combo. But now my xbox won't boot up into the dash. What happens when i press the power the xbox power up and shut off and on 3 times and the xecuter3 light will be blue and the open tray button ring will change colors from red to green but i would not get any audio or video from the xbox.Please if anyone can help out with this i would really appreciate it. THanks

sounds like bad install...has nothing to do with buttons....your getting frags....

i'm sorry i just have to do this.... I thought there was only ONE type of Xecuter3 and was JUST xecuter3. And the highest revision of xbox was 1.6b. Also i've never heard of the evok dashboard, can i get the website? :lol: :shock: :roll:

x clamp to e 71

Well yesterday I did the x clamp fix and I followed every step exact but now when I power up my xbox it gives me the e 71 error nine times out of ten sometimes it atually boots up into the dashboard.

I see that the code can be from a badb dashboard update but I haven't updated since last fall.

any ideas to what can be done?

try loosening the bolts a little.

I tried loosen the screws on my heat sinks a bit but still no change. I have read that it might be cause by the southbridge chip but not sure what can be done.
