GENERAL HELP! Xbox won't read certain burned games

For the past couple of days I've been unsuccessfully burning games using my ihas 122 8 burner. The game burns fine, it goes through abgx with no issues and verifies, but when I try to actually play it, I get the “Unrecognized disc" error. I'm currently using Memorex DL 8.5 discs and only burned xgd2 games. I know memorex aren't the ideal brand but it's all I can afford at the moment. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

make sure you change the settings for xgd3Layer Break 2133520
He doesn't need to set the layer break for XGD2 or XGD3 discs.

If he has set up ABGX correctly, it will create a .dvd file once an ISO has been checked/patched - open this file in ImgBurn and it will set the layer break for you.

I agree with Verbatim media though - it is recommended for a reason.

Okay I understand I'll get Verbatim for now on. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't my xbox 360 drive laser. I only used Memorex because other people have got them to work with no problems, but I don't mind paying a bit more for quality, just glad it isn't a problem with my Xbox. Thanks a lot guys

Just a final note, help is only supported and given on this site for the use of mk001 and mk003 verbs in Xbox 360 xgd3 backups. Also all lasers do fail eventually on DVD drives luckily changing them for a new laser is fairly simple. This means we can keep our cherished xbox's running years and years. If your burns do start to fail and u are using verb mk001-3 and u'r tried and tested imgburn settings haven't changed then it could be 1 of 3 lasers failing, ripping laser, burning laser or reading laser respectively. This is where u'r Xbc, abgx, imgburn and kprobe results will be useful. Just food for thought for the future.
