ah, wait, now I understand the solder question. You have v1.6 and so yes, definitely you need to solder in the LPC rebuild pcb or if you don't have it then rebuild your lpc with wires. Since you are at it, might as well solder the pin header to do pin header install. I assumed you have done all that already.
