Help!!!

i installed my mod chip, flashbios came up and i loaded bios from cd. it find the bios the status bar is yellow and that is as far as i got. the problem is under the warning sing and the explanation of how it will rebot it says "programing failed" and the eject button truns green and yellow and the status bar doesnt turn green. so i manually trun it off and try to trun it back on but it wont the eject botton flashs red and truns off, ever know and then it boots up. by the way i have a v1.6b xbox and tryed flashing it with the X3_3029 bios.

QUESTIONS:

1. how do i get the flashbios setup back up?

2. how do i flash it or make a properbios cd?

3. when i made my bios cd following the steps to make it a iso m i suppose to see the files on the cd? or m i suppose to see a blank cd?

Ok,to start. To get to your backup bios press eject and power at the same time. If you have a Pro Switch your settings are(off,on on ,off off).and if 3029 doesn't work try 3108v16. but with 3108v16 if you have an LCD screen an try to change the message it will not work ,for 3108 has keyboard issuses. and last but not least, yes you should be able to see a file on the CD. Yep, yep...


You flashed the wrong bios. Go with either 3029ver1.6b or 3108ver1.6 b.

Boot to back-up... hold power and eject.

If that doesn't work... um you gonna have to do the chip swap 'cause you blewed up your flashbios. I hope you have 3.0.3 somewhere!!

i figured out why the flashbios setup wouldn't come back up is because my soldering wasn't good. but i still get a program failed message when i try to flash it! can someone tell me what bios i need or recomended for the v1.6b and what is the best way to flash it and how do i flash it step by step to make sure it works. and how do i know what flashbios setup i need and how do i change it if i need to or does the mod chip detect the xbox version i have and will it give me the right flashbios setup by itself?

That's a lot of questions in one senence!!

2 guys already told you which bios to use, i suggest you heed their advice. (how do you spell heed?? )

The chip will not automatically detect which Flashbios you need, you have to select that yourself. You do that by switching banks. 3.0.3 is on bank 5678, and the earlier version is on banks 1234.

You said you have a 1.6B which means you need 3.0.3.
with a pro switch you need off off on off off
or if you have the standard switch use off on off off off

thank u so much Rookio ur awesome the problem was my switch i didnt know i had to have it off on off off off. but once i did that and got the flashbios 3.0.3 to come up it worked. thank u i am so excited know sweet!!

Sorry I Need More Help!!!

i brunt a copy of the slayer_auto_installer2.6.iso and put the disc in my xbox and i dont know how to ftp in to my xbox so i can back up my xbox hdd and so i can make back ups of games i have or load roms and apps!
