I think i'm working on a Version 1.1 xbox (Has a Philips drive). I installed the Xapt3r correctly because all the lights turn on. The chip is a xecuter 2.6. I tried to flash the bios, X2_4981.06. The Cromwell screen came up but the BIOS loading screen never came up. So I turned it off and restarted it and the FlashBIOS screen won't come up now. Please Help.

Will flash bois come up on either bank. Also if you have not got a dash installed then it will not boot to a dash.
Couple of things here... First off, you cannot judge which version Xbox you have by the DVD drive. Make sure you know what version you have. Second, get X2 5035 for your bios. It has a lot of new features. Third, what do you mean the cromwell screen came up? The 2.6 has Flashbios, not cromwell.
if its not booting flashbios anymore and straight to the ms stuff then check that your D0 connection hasn't come loose
im curious about cromwell showing up. You should know which xbox version you have before flashing.....
FlashBIOS came up. wrote the wrong thing. FlashBIOS won't come up on either bank. Still getting FRAG. It's a version 1 because it has the conexant chip and fan. What's the dash?
The dash is what you see when you boot the Xbox without a disc in. So if flashbios came up, did you flash a bios or anything? What changed that it won't come up now?
I tried to flash the bios but it wouldn't the loading BIOS screen never came up so I turned it off and turned it back on and now the dash won't come back on and the FRAG is showing.

What 'loading BIOS' screen? All you should have seen is a progress bar appear with the title "Flashing BIOS".Dragon43 said:

The loading BIOS screen is the progress bar. Sorry I'm not technically advanced. The BIOS I tried to flash was 512 KB

ok - bank 2 should still have flashbios on it. If it's fragging, then it's a solder issue.

Neither bank has FlashBIOS and I'm using a solderless adapter.all lights on the solderless adapter light up but it won't bring up the FlashBIOS screen

Ok - what *does* happen when you try and boot one of the banks?
If you get 3x reboots and red/green flashing, then you need to reseat the solderless adaptor.
If it's going to MS Dash, then the d0 connection is not correct.

I get 3x reboots and red/green flashing. I have the xapt3r. all the lights are on. does this matter?

The lights just indicate that you have power going through - if one of the data lines is not connecting then you'll get a FRAG.

Thoroughly clean the LPC area with a stiff pencil eraser to remove oxides etc, then try again.
