LITEON 93450 HELP!!!

Right guys, my nephew played a back up of spiderman shattered dimensions on his xbox. the problem is that he never updated his xbox prior to the dash up date that locked/ up dated the drives. so when he put the disc in he clicked yes to do the update from the disk and half way through the disk stopped and source code 3151-351f-b800-0f00-c000-0013. his drive is flashed and i tried using a usb and a cd to complete the update but for some reason it`s not reading either.
the drive was a lite-on 93450c and is now a 251 fw.
any ideas how the update can be completed as eveytime it`s turned on it trie to continue the update and then the source code appears again

you need to flash to the latest firmware and try the disk again it should finish the update but i think it will be flagged. (i could be wrong)

how do i go about flashing it with the LTPlus-025v1.91.bin do i open it as target firmware or source? and then use the dummy.bin?

Load your dummy.bin as the source, load LTPlus-025v1.91.bin as the target, click spoof source to target (check that both drive keys match), go to the MTKFlash32 tab, run Lite-On Erase, click Write and finally, click Outro/ATA Reset :).

still not doing anything mate, tried the game disc and the disc with the update on it and it keeps saying can`t load update from disc with the same error as before

if you did not remove the lens ribbon during the flash or update it may have burned your laser out. you should be updating from the original game disc also for it to carry on, its all over the forum that this is the way to get this kind of failed update to carry on. sometimes the relevant usb update works but not always and you must make sure to be running the same version usb update as was on the game disc. the update be 131xx and the current is 13599 so if you got yours from microsoft recently its the wrong one. shatterd dimensions was out well before the 13599 update.
put your original in and it will continue and if not your laser is dead. easy as pie.

Have you got the Genuine disk?

TX do not support PIRACY (I don't want to assume but I'm very surprised you haven't been asked already!) without the original you will get no more help :frown:

If you have the Original just put it in your drive and continue from there :wink:

I had this problem with nephews box with madden 12. Nothing worked until I flashed back to stock, upgraded back to 1.91, and put the same backup back in and it updated fine. I agree it might be the laser because a lot of ppl had this same problem.

It's just because so many people come here and are using illegal backups thats all. (nothing personal)

Well i am sorry, but 99 times out of 100. The original disc will auto update for you.

and then all you have to do is to re-flash.

It is quite that simple.

Most people come on and say, oh i lent it to my friend or this and that.

What, lend it to someone and keep the backup for yourself, when you haven't even played it..

That is what we are dealing with.

What I want to know is, if a backup advises you to update, why not decline and get the original instead? Accepting updates from backups is always going to be a dodgy affair unless you use good quality media and verify after burning it. It still scares me how many people don't verify the burn!!!
