Hi im a newb and i need help i have a xbox 1.6 and im usin th lpc rebuild with
xecuter 3 installed. i installed it checked and rechecked all my connections are solid my xbox frags but sometimes i can sucessfully boot into msdash and playgames but after a short amount of time my xbox screen goes black. As it is booting from the mod chip i can see the boot screen than it turns green and my xbox bigins to frag can anyone help me with this.

if you are using the chip check every point on the board that has pre-solder on it and make sure that they are all connected to the mobo well. miss one and it is difficult to get the M$ dash to even boot. if that is not the case... make sure that you have not got any loose cables or maybe you for got to plug the fan back in or something... that sounds like it is overheating. Check all of this and read the forums on here first and double check and second guess everything to ensure flawlessness.

RROD 0010?????

Hi All,

Turned my xbox on last night and it started to freeze while booting up. kept rebooting then received error code 71. rebooted and all went well for about a minute, then froze again, then when I rebooted I had 3 red lights. I do not get any error code just 3 rings while its booting, the secondary code is 0010, but I also had 2 other secondary codes at first but cant remember what they were.

My box is still in warranty is it safe to send back to ms? and should I reflash to original firmware? if so anyone know where I can get original firmware from as it got deleted when HDD crashed?

If you find the origional fw and flash make sure you put in back together properly or they will just say its been tampered with good luck.

Check here for known fixes relative to that error.

Not an easy fix in my opinion, at least i haven't seen too many success stories with this error.

If it still under warranty definitely flash back to original firmware and make sure everything is stock inside so they don't tell you no that its been tampered with. (And of course an unbroken MS seal)

What model of drive do you have? As i have a Benq PAL model, i could send you the orig.bin if its of use ?
