Anyway, re-soldering the pin header on any pre 1.6 box is easy if you're decent at soldering. If not, I'd find somebody who at least has some soldering experience. I'd visually inspect all the pins on the pin header. Re-solder any that you suspect may not have good connections. Then drop some desoldering braid on the surface of the MB around the pin header and between the pins. Heat it for a split second to absorb any possible solder splashes. Those 2 things alone have a great chance of fixing your problem. I know from experience. It might also be something obvious. On one box that started fragging after working fine for some time, I took out the MB and saw a tiny particle of solder had become loose and was bridging 2 of the pins. After scraping it away, the unit worked fine again.
