i havent even got that far yet slayertex6 i took all of my stuff off the mobo and put it back to stock excluding the qsbs and flashed my backup back to it to see if it would turn on and thats when i got the RROD
:(

nah i left the qsbs on so that i can use the JRP2 programmer without anymore soldering :) but i can 100% read and write to the nand so i know the qsb is all good :)

If it was booting before you hooked anything up, you're going to have to find out it anything is bridged or blown. You may have to lift the qsb's to see if the solder didn't run between points.

nah she didnt work before as i had a power cut whilst i was writing the xell image initially then i could not speak to the nand with my lpt cable hence the reason i bought the demon and the jrp2 programmer, im just wondering if its worth fixing now as i have spent heaps of cash and time on it with no luck thats why i flashed the original nand back to see if it would just work but it didnt :(

Google how to retrieve the secondary error code on an xbox 360. Post back what your error code is.

Question: Have you changed the thermal paste under the heatsinks yet. All the messing around you have done with it if you haven't its time to get it changed. But first get that secondary code. It tell so much more about what is going on.

it wont even power on now with the pcb that plugs into the front :/ but as soon as i pull it out it turns on any ideas ?

ok changed the thermal paste for some nice arctic silver :) reflowed the cpu and GPU whilst i was at it and it now boots fine as stock :) just cant still use the front pcb to turn the system on though but i will open a new thread in the relevant forum for the rest of my issues, thanks to everyone who helped out on this problem muchley appreciated :)
