do i need to resize my evox m8+bios to a 512k or can i leave them at 256... i got x2.6 lite chip and 1.6 box

Yes, you must resize it. Here's how:

rename it to 256km8.bin and put it in C:\bios or something you can remember

Start>run>cmd

type these commands:
cd\
cd bios
copy /b 256km8.bin + 256km8.bin 512km8.bin
exit

now you have made two copies into one 512k suitable for flashing. Obviously you can use any filename or dir you want, I'm just making it really simple.

if you could still ftp into your box after you flashed the X2 5035, you likely flashed the wrong version of the bios for your box

just open your box and follow this tutorial to determine which version you have and flash the bios according to that
