Hi all nice to be here love this forum and Team Xecuter (which i have their parts in the xbox, btw is there a software to check that i really got the real tx stuff in there and not lied to btw?) i have a Dual Nand xbox 360 slim with a 320 Gb hdd and the hdd is recognized and working fine in the RGH department (aka rgh nand) but the regular stock xbox live nand doesn't recognize it (it happened after i tried to install ubuntu from free60 on it which i still want to try later but with some help from expert friends..) but for now i need like a type of hiren's cd that'll just do what the xbox live does, format it and rebuild the partitions back to factory settings (it is an original xbox 360 hdd) so the xbox live stock will recognize it, or maybe i don't need a boot cd and there's a software through the RGH Freestyle dash that i can use (maybe thrugh the xex menu utility? because as i said the rgh system recognizes it fine and it's working fine there) that would be great, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for all your Great work! keep it up! :)

Sounds like your overwrote the system partitions for the retail Xbox when you tried to install Ubuntu. Probably not the best idea to use your xbox hard drive for anything other than for your Xbox. To my knowledge the only way to restore the system partitions is with a USBProV2, and a 320gb security sector.

exactamundo my friend, i only wanna add one thing that i didn't mention in the first post (and i will add as soon as possible) is that i tried the format and delete cache of the RHG menu (which looks exactly like the regular xbox stock format and delete cache) and for some reason that doesn't bring back to factory settings (which is the system partitions that you're talking about, correct me if i'm wrong) anyways it didn't work, i will try what you said but just another question, if i buy right now a new genuine xbox hdd and i put it in the machine it will recognize it right? but it has nothing inside it no? are there system partitions in it? the system partition you mentioned? so if there was a way to just bring the hdd back to a state of a brand new empty xbox hdd (i backed up everything i dont mind) ofcourse as i said i will try your advice but just thinking out loud, thanks for your help have a great day

hi demolition thanks, i googled a bit with your info and i found programs like testdisk and ddrescue and dd and others that just recover the deleted files and recover the image, and i have a gentoo livecd and a ubuntu 10.10 livecd the only problem is i have no idea how to work with those programs, or which one is better, i tried testdisk but it started searching and it lasted forever, can anyone help with advice?

update- also if the above isnt possible is it possible to flash a 320 Gb HDDSS320.bin to my hdd without connecting the hdd to my pc (because i dont have the cables) is it possible either through a linux live cd like ubuntu, or through the RGH nand with xex menu or dashlaunch or other home brews like that? thanks in advance. have a good day.
